The Tower Foundation of Manhasset once again has shown its commitment to the students of Manhasset, as the organization has donated $50,000 to the district to purchase a new CNC router and engraver for Manhasset Secondary School’s technology and engineering classes.
“On behalf of the district, I thank the Tower Foundation for its ongoing support of innovative programming for the students of Manhasset,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Vincent Butera said. “For years, Tower has been making significant contributions that have resulted in so many different resources and facilities that have enhanced the learning environment in our schools.”

In an effort to continue with its mission of supporting the community’s students, the Tower Foundation of Manhasset recently donated funds to the local after-school educational program Adventures In Learning for the purchase of eight Internet hot spots meant to provide Internet access to local students in need of such services. During these challenging times, the hot spots will enable the students to engage in the remote-learning protocol set up by area schools currently closed due to the COVID-19 situation.
“Tower is proud to be supporting online learning for students during this pandemic crisis,” Tower co-president Dr. Vicky Giouroukakis said. “After seeing a Facebook post by Adventures in Learning requesting funds, we reached out to Diana [Holden, AIL executive director] to see how Tower could help. Thanks to our collaboration with Adventures in Learning leadership, as well as the Manhasset School district’s administration and IT team, Tower was able to provide hot spots to those students who do not have high-speed Internet access at home. Such access is a necessity in these times for ensuring the continuity of learning.”

by Kristin Stevens | Manhasset Press • May 9, 2019
The legendary nightclub Studio 54 may be long gone from the New York City landscape, but on the night of March 9, the Tower Foundation of Manhasset recreated the
glamorous mystique of the famed and fabulous disco with their 2019 dinner dance, “Studio 54!”
The event is the hottest ticket in town and sold out in days. The annual fundraiser was held once again at Plandome Country Club, and the revelers didn’t disappoint, as they dressed in their glittery best to boogie oogie oogie the night away.
